Join me for a special yoga class to celebrate International yoga day and the auspicious summer solstice.
This class will help to bring a renewed motivation to commit to your yoga sadhana (practice) for the second half of the year.
The second half of the year is particularly important for anyone practicing yoga because this it's what's known as Dakshinaya. It is a time to yield the best results.
The class will gentle asana to help bring equanimity to the body and meditation to quieten the busy mind.
There will include a short teaching, also known as a dharma talk to offer guidance and support for your wellbeing journey.
There will also be time to journal about what practices you wish to commit to for the second part of the year.
Yoga has been found to have numerous physical and mental health benefits, including improving flexibility, and balance, reducing mild to moderate anxiety and depression, and promoting better sleep.
Improve your physical and mental health through gentle movements and mindfulness practices.
The class will finish with a practice called yoga nidra, a yogic technique to induce complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
